Consultant Orthopaedic and Spinal Surgeon
I was appointed as a Consultant Orthopaedic Surgeon to University Hospital Coventry and Warwickshire (UHCW) NHS Trust in 2000. Prior to this I trained on the NW Thames orthopaedic surgical training programme. In addition I spent 1year as the Zimmer Spinal Research Fellow and a further year as a Clinical Spinal fellow, both at the prestigious Royal National Orthopaedic Hospital, Stanmore

” Mr Shergill works closely with his colleague Mr Robert Sneath and in addition with other spinal consultants and radiologists during regular multi-disciplinary meetings at which all complex patients are discussed to ensure that all patients receive optimal investigations and treatment.

Mr Shergill has a very holistic approach to dealing with all spinal conditions to ensure that all treatment options are considered and offered rather than just surgery. He also therefore works closely with Physiotherapists, Chiropractors and Osteopaths as well a specialist acupuncturists to ensure that a wide variety of physical treatments are available to patients.

Mr Shergill also strongly feels that patients should be able to make an informed decision as to which treatment path to take and this can only be done if the patient is given a thorough explanation of their diagnosis and the pros and cons of different treatments that may be available. “

I think you do such an amazing job, and it's greatly appreciated. I cannot thank you all enough. Best Wishes, Corrie
