Good morning Pedro, I hope you are well. It is two years since you replaced my right hip. Before the operation I was unable to walk further than the local shops – and even that was a very painful experience. It was a friend of mine’s 50th birthday last weekend and we wanted to do something to celebrate. We decided to climb Scafell Pike (England’s highest mountain). We achieved this on Saturday without any drama whatsoever. I just wanted to thank you and your team for everything you did. Best regards

Hello Pedro, just to let you know that my hip is great, with no problems. We still spend three months skiing each winter, and I swim, bike, and use the gym the rest of the year.

Dear Mr Foguet, you performed a Left THR for me in July 2014. In these times, when patient follow-up must be virtually impossible, I thought I would just drop you a line to let you know how I was getting on. I can honestly say that I am completely unaware of any problem whatsoever with my hip. It feels just like a normal healthy hip and from my point of view I can do anything that I wish - walking, climbing hills, ladders, playing golf. I do not feel any restriction on normal activity. So far, my right hip gives me no problem, but if it did, I know who I would come to! Many, many thanks for your excellent care. Mr Foguet, After I left you this afternoon I went to physiotherapy. Ollie eventually had me on the bicycle but didn’t expect me to take the left knee full circle since it had only been revised a few weeks ago, so told me to just let it go up and down controlling that movement with the right foot. I didn’t expect to do otherwise but I just started riding carrying the left foot full circle as normal. This video is of me after I got back to the flat - celebrating. Dear Mr Foguet, I would like to take this opportunity of thanking you for the outstanding care that you have given me following my recent hip surgery. I am now able to sleep pain free and am free of the original pain. I do have a few aches (which are understandable) but I am walking well and going in the right direction to a full recovery.

Yes, my friends, last weekend was exactly one year since I spent time with you at your splendid facility for Mr Foguet to revise my hip replacement and I can confirm that everything that I expected from your work has been achieved. I believe my local consultant Dr N has confirmed this to Mr. Foguet following my visit to her today. The visit was originally to have taken place last week but had to be deferred as she was very busy. Dear Pedro, I would like to thank you and your team for the superb professional and caring attention during my left knee TKR carried out on Oct 1st. My replacement knee is performing well for which I am very grateful and pleased. Wishing all a peaceful and happy festive Christmas period and New Year and throughout 2023.

I was recently in the Meridien Hospital in Walsgrave for a hip replacement under the wonderful consultant Mr P Foguet. I would like to say a very big thankyou because the operation is a great success. I am well on the road to recovery, and it has given me a new lease of life. I would also like to thank his secretary for her great consideration and the nurses and physiotherapy staff. It was better than a hotel. I appreciate everything they have done for me.

I have recently had corrective knee-replacement surgery under Mr Foguet and want to thank the nurses and staff on the ward as well as the dedicated theatre staff for doing such a fantastic job. In particular, would like to thank my consultant, Mr Foguet. His skill, dedication, and care, both during surgery and afterwards. It is easy to focus on the negative, but these people do a fantastic job, sometimes under difficult circumstances and extreme pressure. They are wonderful.

Dear Mr Shergill, Thank you very much for operating on me on 12th October 2012. I can't tell you how happy I am to be without pain while walking; it has been over 2 years. I was discharged on Saturday 13th and am making good progress at home. I am really grateful to you.
